George Beck: August 28, 1943
Tonight I feel browned off and I can’t take my mind off England, Saturday night, the main night of the week. I wonder what Alice is doing now, sometimes I think that I am not fated to stay in England at all. Getting down to sleep, best place when one feels like this.
