Rick Holt: April 18, 1971

Another exciting day at Long Thanh North. Just finished a game of monopoly. That was the high point of the day. It has been hot around here today. And the pool was closed for the first time in a week. Something wrong with the filter on the pump. Only one mail call on Sundays. That was this morning. Got one letter you wrote on the 13th.

... Had some delicious Vienna Sausage yesterday. I never used to like Armor Sausage but for some reason the ones I got at the PX yesterday tasted pretty good. It could be because they were packed in beef stock instead of water. I think the Armor Vienna Sausage I had at home were stocked in water.
