I prefer to cool it on the word "vermin" when talking about humans.
Call them "deranged murderers", "delusional killers", "psychotic", etc.
"Vermin" smacks of Star-of-David badges and ghettoes and gas chambers.
Don't give your Neo-Nazi readers here the satisfaction.
