To be fair, the Democrats have also not stood up to the Mad King.

Example: The Jan 6 Committee issued subpoenas to key insurrectionists like Mark Meadows, and their supporters like Jim Jordan. Meadows, Jordan, and the others ignored their subpoenas — a violation of Federal law.

The Committee could have sent their Sergeant-at-Arms and arrested the scofflaws at gunpoint. But they didn't.

They used none of their arrest and confinement powers, apart from sending Steve Bannon to prison for four months (and that took something like two years to accomplish).
