Today we celebrated the unveiling of the Puddlejumper Park, featuring a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted replica of a Beaver service plane—designed for kids to climb, play, and let their imaginations take off!

This incredible plane was built by Brad Pearse of Ozfab Welding and Fabrication right here in Ely, Minnesota. Inspired by the legendary bush planes that have long served the Northwoods, this playful tribute is more than just a sculpture—it’s a hands-on adventure zone for the next generation of explorers.

From climbing into the cockpit to turning the propeller, this plane is made for fun, creativity, and good old-fashioned outdoor play.

💙 Huge thanks to Brad, our community partners, and everyone who came out to celebrate! The spirit of Ely lives on—in the sky, on the playground, and in every kid who dreams big.
