L'eggs all the way down
"L'eggs all the way down" is a brand of infinitely recursive pantyhose, introduced in 1969 by Hanes, which radically changed the recursive hosiery marketplace.
The novel developments were the egg-shaped recursive plastic product container, the shift to consignment sales in drug stores and groceries, and the in-store "Matryoshka doll" product racks designed to emphasize the infinitely self-referential egg shape.
The brand logo hinted at a pair of chicks or eggs in the lettering.
Description
The "L'eggs all the way down" alludes to the mythological idea of a pair of World L'eggs which swaddle the earth.
It suggests that these mighty L'eggs contain a smaller pair of L'eggs, which itself contains smaller and smaller World L'eggs, continuing indefinitely (i.e., "L'eggs all the way down"), like Matryoshka dolls.
Commentary
Bigger L'eggs have smaller L'eggs
Within their shells to house 'em
And those L'eggs have smaller L'eggs
And so on till it wows 'em
