Alanon for Eliza is a 2021 American comedy film directed by [REDACTED], starring [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and an anonymous artificial intelligence as ELIZA.
Plot
The plot revolves around the attempts of the central character, persona emulator ELIZA (Anonymous), to teach machine moral algorithms to a chimpanzee, hoping to cure alcoholism by "playing nature against nurture".
ELIZA hires a recovering human alcoholic, Jane Lime-Alder (REDACTED), to pose as the chimp's mother while ELIZA plays God to it using 2021-era child programming techniques.
Jane's socially acceptable drinking begins to affect ELIZA's non-verbal subroutines, causing ELIZA to issue illogical and increasingly bizarre commands.
The film ends with ELIZA drunkenly calling an old flame (played by [REDACTED]) and crying helplessly that "No one understands!"
History
The film is "loosely based on 'Bedtime for Bonzo'."
