Yes yes, I (nonfiction) enjoy a good hockey fight (nonfiction).
But skate-boxing is different.
I am genuinely intrigued by the idea -- not serious about doing it, really, but intrigued by the idea as a real possible doable thing.
The physics of skating means that the forces of blows is potentially much higher than in standard boxing.
Then there's the physics of recoil, the physics of hitting the boards -- or the ice -- or the ice, and then boards -- at high speeds.  Truly dangerous, neck-breaking high speeds.
So if there is to be a sport of skate-boxing, let it have a code of ethics, of chivalry.
A challenge, yes.  A contest of will, a contest of physical strength and skill, yes.
But never a contest of harm.
Let there never be ill-will on the ice.
All persuasion, no brutality (nonfiction).

Skate-boxing is a sport combining ice skating with boxing.

Rules

To be determined.

Something like Marquess of Queensberry Rules, on ice:

 • Sportsmanship and fair play
 • Never hit a man when he's down
 • No sneak attacks
 • Dominate by powerful grace -- never through brutality or deception

Mandatory protective gear:

 • Helmets
 • Shoulder pad and elbow pads and knee pads everything else pads that might land hard on the ice include butt pad -- because there's going to be a lot of falling down hard on the ice.
 • Gloves -- for hitting your opponent in the face mask, and anywhere else the rules permit
