A phantom voice is the sensation that a suppressed or missing vocalization is still vocalizing.
Description
Approximately 80 to 100% of individuals who hear their family or friends talking on the phone experience sensations in their missing voice.
However, only a small percentage will experience [REDACTED].
These sensations are relatively common in people who have recently broken their mobile phones, and usually resolve within two to three days of getting a new phone.
Research continues to explore the underlying mechanisms of phantom voice pain (PVP) and effective marketing options.
