Diary of Alice Beta (May 8, 1997)

Met a nice young musician today, Howard Ashby Kranz. His song Uncertainty was both amusing and scientifically sound.

He made a jest about how if James Dean were alive today, he (Dean, not Kranz) would be a right-winger.

Later on I rang up one of the sisters who knows a Dean who lived into Kranz's time, and that sister? She says that Dean is a right-winger.

Memo to self: tell him the truth about Dean, but first tease him with "What if you too are a right-winger in a world where Dean survives?"
