The Gnomon Chronicles Home Page — or Main Page, to use MediaWiki's term — comprises several sections, with most of these sections using templates to display different content for each day of the the year.

That is, there are 365 "Better Than News" templates, one for each day of the year, with today's template display near the top of the Home Page.
