Context: [statue of man beating sword into plowshare]

Context: "that ploughshare will make a mighty fine sword when he's through with it!"

Response

He never will be through. Such is the nature of ploughshare agriculture.

Chances are he (or a descendant) will be murdered by some hunter-forager, who will then beat the ploughshare back into a sword.

Of course this weakens the metal. The hunter may need to kill more farmers.
