George Beck: February 20, 1944
Sunday Received yesterday two letters from wife, one states that at times she has been ready to give in, the rest is blacked out by censoring officer, no idea what it can be. Well, this war goes on but I can’t see the end in sight yet although the Russians still continue their advance and attacks. Lets hope that this spring sees some big happenings. A couple of months and I shall have been a prisoner four years, how time passes. Nothing but snow here lately.
