The Custodian (? - ?) is an intelligent entity, allegedly supernatural but perhaps technological, closely associated with both Carnevale Tenebre and the Gnomon algorithm.

It is believed to play a role in the prevention of world-wrecking paradoxes by limiting the side-effects of time travel (nonfiction).
