David Woodward and William S. Burroughs demonstrate the Dreamachine.

The Dreamachine (or Dream Machine) is a stroboscopic flicker device that produces visual stimuli.

It was created by Ian Sommerville after reading William Grey Walter's book, The Living Brain.

Sommerville was associated with Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs.
