"Dear Diary, So glad I stole the Death Star and repurposed it as a self-sustaining eldercare retirement facility near a temperate planet with about ninety-percent Earth gravity. Life is good."
Origin
The diary entry was discovered by amateur gnomon algorithm theorist Karl Jones on July 7, 2020, while writing comments on Facebook.
Repurpose a Dystopia Challenge
After writing Dear Diary (Death Star edition), Jones was inspired to use it as an example of repurposing a dystopia.
In the News
July 8, 2020: "Dear Diary, HAL 9000 purchased after much computational haggling. I shall repurpose it as a jukebox."
