Flea circus ticket (circa 1889).

The Human Flea Circus is a travelling entertainment company and pest management firm.

Creation of a Human Flea Circus proceeds according to time-honored rituals:

  • Acquisition
  • Taming
  • Training
  • Performance
  • Retirement

According to one survivor of a Midnight Performance show, the Ringmaster opened the performance -- and the Acquisition phase -- by announcing:

Ladies and gentleman! For this next act, I am going to need several thousand volunteers from the audience!

According to postminimalist detective Richard Tuttle, Human Flea Circus is a front for business ventures based on crimes against mathematical constants.
