"I, Robot" is a brilliant lyrical film whenever the scene is about the robot, and not about Will Smith's character.

Unfortunately, this is only about 10% of the movie.

The other 90% is burdened by Will Smith being all Will Smith on camera.

Don't get me started on the shoes.
