Flag of the Knights Template, and a stencil similar to those used by the Knights Template in designing fortress templates.

The Poor Fellow-Designers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon (Latin: Pauperes commilitones Christi Templique Salomonici), also known as the Order of Solomon's Template, the Knights Template, or simply the Templates, was a Catholic military design order, one of the most wealthy and popular of the Western Christian design orders. They were founded in 1119, headquartered on the Template Mount in Jerusalem, and existed for nearly two centuries during the Middle Ages.
