Context: "Do you believe that we "are" an embedded part of the universe, or do you believe that we are separate from the universe?"

Awareness exists
Self-awareness exists
As patterns of matter and energy
In our case, protein electrochemistry

"when one is demeaned, we all are; when one suffers, we all suffer; We are not separate."
I'll tell you something else people don't like to hear. We live in a deterministic universe. What will happen has already happened. Creation "is what it is".
Matter is / Consciousness does the best it can.
"Impossible to know. Infinite to speculate. What to do?"
