Contact with the One Knife, or in some cases merely thinking about the One Knife, has been demonstrated to cause Scrimshaw abuse.

Wave of contagious Scrimshaw abuse caused by brief exposure to the One Knife, according to a new study by the APTO Journal for Non-Euclidean Blade Weapons.
