The idea began as a comment on Facebook:

Listen, if it's just a matter of fluorescing under UV, I can do that for myself. Probably. If I ingest the right chemicals.

I'm not going to do this for free, though.

If I create a Kickstarter "Watch Karl Fluoresce Under UV" campaign, what should I set as my dollar goal?

I'll want compensation for materials, of course, and for my time.

But mainly it's an insurance policy in case I give myself permanent long-term damage.
