Yes. Yes, I do. All other things being equal, I do want to live forever.
However, if there is one thing — no, two things — I have learned from stories:
—All other things are never equal in stories
—In stories about Immortals, there is typically someone who wants that Immortal dead, often that self-same Immortal
Nonetheless, at this time, I want to live forever.
They say that No Man is an Island.
In fact, Every Man is a Drowning Sailor. (Thank God we have each other for company as a we tread away the waters of our lives.)
Somebody has to evolve flotation bladders, or something, and stop drowning all the time.
