Who Wants to Be a Chronometer? is a reality TV (nonfiction) show.
Participants must compete to measure time, and perform other time-related tasks.
Successful contestants are converted into a variety of chronometers.
Tock the Clock Dog
Before his appearance in The Phantom Tollbooth (nonfiction), Tock the Clock Dog auditioned for Who Wants to Be a Chronometer?
Although a temporal-medical condition prohibited Tock's participation as a contestant, the show's producers were so impressed that they offered Tock a staff position as Continuity Director.
The deal ultimately fell through, and Tock went on to gain fame for his work in Phantom Tollbooth (nonfiction).
