Earliest known poster for Dr. Spicelove.

Dr. Spicelove (full title: Dr. Spicelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bene Gesserit) is a 1964 black comedy epic science fiction film directed by Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch. It is loosely based on the 1958 novel Family Atomics by Peter George and Frank Herbert.

Influences

Context: "The series follows the Harkonnen Sisters, played by Watson & Henderson, as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect"

The Bene Gesserit themselves threaten the future of humankind.

But that's life.

Commentary

First, I'm a thrillseeker. The thought of an eight-hour super-orgasm has much appeal.

Second, I am lazy. If I get converted into an obedient slave, I don't need to think for myself any more.
