A Plimpton engine is an engine (nonfiction) which uses George Plimpton (nonfiction) as a source for power, control, or other properties.

Plimpton engines are presumed to use some form of the Gnomon algorithm, although this has not been investigated to date (May 2016).

Plimpton engines were famously invented by George Plimpton (nonfiction), upon accepting Noel Harrison (nonfiction)'s invitation to join him in The Noel Harrison Sensation.

The pair watched the premier showing of Being John Malkovich (nonfiction), both from the lobby (as life-size cardboard figure), and in the theater itself, as an enormous poster covering most of the back wall (with a slightly painful aperture for the beam).

John Malkovich (nonfiction)'s reaction has to date (May 2016) gone undocumented.
