Television set showing interactive footage of the 1927 expedition led by Leonid Kulik of the Soviet Academy of Science. Controls (1-8) allow the user to input new data into the model, altering potential outcomes for experimental and recreational purposes.

The Tunguska Event Preservation Society is a transdimensional corporation dedicated to "preserving what remains of the Tunguska event (nonfiction) for the benefit of future generations."

Bascomb Rudeworthy and a small group of equally ill-tempered misanthropes formed the Society in response to what they considered "the wanton desecration of historical treasures."

John Brunner has repeatedly asserted that Rudeworthy is a front man for Daddy Warbucks.

According to Brunner, the Society is secretly restoring the Tunguska event, using "preservation" activities as a semi-legitimate front.

Brunner believes that Warbucks intends to re-enact the Tunguska event (nonfiction) at planet-smashing energy levels, as a prelude to destruction of all creation.
