Partially rusted golden ammonite, presumed to be the work of Gold Ruster. Although the value of the gold is lost, the resulting "rust" often has a beautiful iridescent sheen.

Gold Ruster is an anti-hero with gold-related super-powers.

Powers

He has two powers: rusting gold, and breaking the golden ratio.

Rusting gold

He causes gold to "rust".

Breaking the golden ratio

He is haunted by the Forbidden ratio, which breaks the Golden ratio (nonfiction).

Gnotilus

Gold Ruster and Gnotilus and are mortal enemies, and have fought on many occasions.

Nonetheless, during occasional peace treaties, they have joined forces as a crime team (nonfiction).

Gold counter-measures

The ducks in this power ring are programmed to seek and kill Gold Ruster

Gold sometimes fights back against Gold Ruster.

Various objects made of gold have made attempts on Gold Ruster's life, the most persistent of which is an artificially intelligent gold ring bearing two ducks and the name Ramses IV.
