The Thin Red Line
Oh, my God, The Thin Red Line stands tall among war epics.
It's like Das Boot for ground combat.
I don't know Thin Red Line's reputation, but how can it be anything other than a timeless classic?
I remember scenes from it fairly often ... maybe every other month or so, say five or six times a year, some scene will come to mind for some reason. This is a film I watched twice, some twenty years ago. And yet I think of it five or six times a year, for years and years.
Now I want to watch it again.

Stairwell Incidents
[Context: Things that only happen at SF/F conventions.]
Stairwell Incidents.
Not Bad Incidents, mind you. Neutral to good to unclassifiable Incidents.
But one normally has no Incidents whatever in stairwells, so to have twelve or fourteen or perhaps twenty Incidents in a single weekend is remarkable.
