Wrote a letter of information as to amount of damages sustained and amount paid by Quartermaster’s Department for repairing said schooner. Gunboat DeSoto left harbor this morning. Took a nap in the afternoon. After supper visited Mrs. McGrath, then procured ice cream at Miss Allen’s after which returned to office. Retired at 10 p.m. Slight breeze.
