The original Clock Head was secretly designed and built by engineer and crime-fighter Leonardo da Vinci. This version of Clock Head survived after da Vinci's death by serving in mercenary armies, eventually reaching North America during the Revolutionary War. Persuaded by the arguments of Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, Clock Head swore allegiance to the American cause and fought with distinction.
