A former abusive scrimshander, Slaughter renounced the knife and the ivory alike in a sacred pact with Poseidon (nonfiction).
As a result, Slaughter now controls 51% of the scrimshaw abuse trade in any coastal region subject to earthquakes, making him a very wealthy man.
