The Dreamachine (or Dream Machine) is a stroboscopic flicker device that produces visual stimuli.

It was created by Ian Sommerville after reading William Grey Walter's book, The Living Brain.

Sommerville was associated with Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs.

Performance artist and crime-fighter Brion Gysin uses hand-held scrying engine to pre-visualize Dreamachine technology.
