The Gnomon Chronicles Game is a role-playing game based on the Gnomon Chronicles.
Principles
The Gnomon Chronicles Game is a role-playing game.
Players interact with the game by posting to social media (currently Twitter).
The game takes place in the world of my imagination — which is to say the real world all bent out of shape by my wildest dreams.
There is no "dungeon" as such, yet the game is like Gnomon Chronicles Game (nonfiction) — shared story-telling adventures.
Getting started
In order to act outside normal space-time, players require a Historical Figure — some real human being who lived (and is now dead).
Your HistFig is a personification of transcendent willpower, generally known as a transdimensional corporation (TC). This is the metaphor that connects your personal causal domain, as a player, to the Gnomon Chronicles.
Many of the effects which TC's can exert are similar to time travel.
To instantiate your TC, post to the Gnomon Chronicles Twitter account. At the top of your post, enter:
#gcos begin game [name of your hist-fig]
The #gcos hashtag invokes the Gnomon Chronicles Operating system. "begin game" instantiates a new causal nexus with the Gnomon Chronicles game. (You only need to do this once.)
You can use the #gcos to reprogram Creation itself — if you have the programming skill!
