Context: "Science isn’t asking questions about the shape of the earth."

Why bother? Galileo answered that question in 1609.

For a while there was talk of burning Galileo at the stake for heresy.

But people soon realized the difference between religion and science:

Science makes reliable predictions, Religion doesn't.
