A weapon, arm, or armament is any machine used with intent to inflict damage or harm to living beings, structures, or systems.
Weapons are used to increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as crime, law enforcement, self-defense, and warfare.
In a broader context, weapons may be construed to include anything used to gain a strategic, material or mental advantage over an adversary.
Weapons range in complexity from from simple implements such as clubs, swords and guns, and to complicated modern intercontinental ballistic missiles, biological and cyberweapons.
In the News
Law-abiding mathematical functions have nothing to fear from Crimes against mathematical constants, say crime authorities.
Soldiers training, not brandishing.
The Brandisher believes in brandishing for brandishing's sake.
Supervillains Forbidden Ratio and Gnotilus threaten to weaponize new class of Halting problems.
Wherever there are weapons, Asclepius Myrmidon and The Companion will be there to provide emergency medical assistance to the survivors.
War victims.
