"The Soul-Devouring Peace that is Functional Programming" (SSDPTIFP) is a computational performance piece by the comic mathematical ensemble Axiom Antics.
Origin
SSDPTIFP was conceived, and the initial score drafted, on October 8, 2020, by Gnomon algorithm engineer Don Tasmian using an overclocked consumer-grade scrying engine. Tasmian's diary includes these notes:
You're not suggesting that Imperative Programming is the Light Side, are you?
Because what Imperative Programming really does is blind its cenobites to the soul-devouring peace that is Functional Programming.
In the News
The Dark Fraa (also Incantors and Rhetors: The Dark Fraa in Extramuros markets) is an autonomous artificially intelligence film based on Grand Theft Anathem.
